BlackBerry became a permanent member of the meme complex. When Roaring Kitty resurfaced in May 2024, BlackBerry moved with the rest of them despite no company news.
Once a ticker joins the list, it stays on the list. The association becomes its own market force, independent of the underlying business.
Still the reflex name whenever the meme basket runs, which tells you the movement has a memory.
